Vidikron Displays Leading-Edge Home Theatre At CEDIA EXPO 2000

Vidikron of America joins with a group of top manufacturers of home theatre equipment to create a state-of-the-art Vidikron Home Theatre that will be used to display HDTV and other high-performance audio and video at CEDIA EXPO 2000 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The theatre will be built around two of Vidikronís flagship Vision One CRT Projectors, floor-mounted and operating simultaneously. The HDTV-ready Vision Ones will be set up to project a high-resolution 96 x 54-inch picture (110 inches diagonally) with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The theatre will also display pictures using Vidikronís new Epoch D-2200 LCD Projector, featuring an ""ultra-bright"" two-bulb design. Processors employed will include Vidikronís new BRS 3800 and BRS 2800 Broadcast Reference Series Scalers and the DVS 5500 Digital Video Scaler. Other elements of the Vidikron Home Theatre will include: - System electronics by Theta Digital, including the new Carmen DVD/CD transport with progressive output, the Casa Nova preamp/processor and the Dreadnaught power amplifier. - New home theatre speakers by Joseph Audio, including the RM33si Signature featuring Infinite Slope technology and RM7si Signature Wall Mount, the PrecisionSub 1 active subwoofer and the Cinergy 5.1 center speaker. - Home theatre style seating and acoustic treatments by Theatre Design Associates. - Cables and interconnects by Straight Wire, - Equipment racks by Studio Tech.
