McIntosh Laboratory introduced their first integrated home theatre receiver at CEDIA EXPO 2000, the MHT100, which the company says builds upon the flagship MX132 home theatre preamp/processor, and integrates eight channels of amplification and multizone capability.The MHT100 contains on-board audio/video source switching for seven sources and 24-bit DSP for DolbyÆ Digital, Pro LogicÆ and DTSÆ Digital Surroundô decoders, along with eight amplifier channels - six 100-watt channels for a 6.1 loudspeaker configuration and two 50 watt channels to power a second remote A/V zone. Some the features include separate tone controls, independent remote control via IR inputs and keypad connections. Configurable power amp inputs and outputs allow the user to dedicate as many of the eight onboard power channels as desired for remote zone applications. The MHT also features 7.1 audio inputs and outputs for upgrade and expansion.
