Zenith Displays High-Definition CRT-Based Projection TV Systems At CEDIA EXPO 2000

High-performance CRT-based home theatre projection from Zenith Electronics Corporation were featured at CEDIA EXPO 2000.Zenith's all-new Pro1200X CRT (cathode ray tube) front projector and the Pro900X CRT front projector both are said to be ideally suited for high definition displays in high-end home theatres and in commercial applications, from sports bars and restaurants to conference centers and schools.The Pro1200X, designed to project video images from 4.6 to 20 feet in diameter, features 8-inch CRTs and high-definition, liquid-coupled, color-corrected HD215 lenses. The Pro1200X provides images with a resolution up to 1280 x 1024 pixels/70Hz (data) and 1920 x 1080i (HDTV). Shipments of the Pro1200X, which carries a manufacturerís suggested retail price of $30,000, are planned for later this month. Zenith's Pro900X high-definition projector, with 7-inch CRTs, is available now at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $12,600.
