Philips Introduces The FR975 Digital Audio/Video Surround Receiver

The new Philips FR975 A/V incorporates the Philips Tetra CORE processor which is capable of processing 100 MIPS (million instructions per second) for audio decoding, and can automatically detect all standard audio signals including DolbyÆ Digital, Dolby Pro LogicÆ, DTSÆ Digital Surroundô and PCM - and seamlessly switch between formats. The Tetra CORE processor also is capable of handling the 96kHz signals used with the new DVD-Audio format.
