RBH Introduces The C-6100SE In-Wall Speaker

RBH Sound has introduced the C-6100SE to their unique Professional Series line of in-wall loudspeakers. The C-6100SE is a full-range, in-wall loudspeaker designed to reproduce high SPLs (sound pressure levels) in large home theatre environments without the large obtrusive speaker cabinet. Unlike typical in-wall loudspeakers that use the wall as a cabinet, the C-6100SEís drivers are housed in their own enclosure specifically designed to fit into a standard wall space. This enclosure allows the speakers to have better frequency response, more bass and more accurate transient response due to their finely tuned cabinets. The C-6100SE is outfitted with three 1-inch Ferrofluid, European designed, soft-dome tweeters and four 6 1/2-inch proprietary metal-cone woofers. Theory would have you believe that the unconventional line-array design of the C-6100SE would cause incredible lobing or comb filter effects, but the complicated third-order electrical and fourth-order acoustic crossovers, as well as the low crossover points, help prevent these detrimental acoustical effects. Also, the C-6100SE was designed for larger theatres where the listening position is farther away from the speakers, giving the drivers the time and space to better integrate with one another.The C-6100SE was created due to the demand of RBH customers looking to fill their larger than average theatres with surround sound, without having to use large, and sometimes obtrusive floor-standing loudspeakers. RBH engineered a solution by creating an in-wall loudspeaker capable of 120dB SPL levels, in a shallow cabinet that will fit in virtually any wall space. The excellent vertical dispersion of the C-6100SE also allows it be flexibly installed vertically, or horizontally, as is the case with a center speaker. The C-6100SEís grille is available in black or white to help match the roomís dÈcor. Since the C-6100SE uses the same tweeters, and proprietary aluminum drivers as found in their Signature Series line of speakers, the C-6100SE can be combined with any of these other speakers, thereby creating a totally integrated and timbre matched home theatre speaker system.
