RBH Introduces New Signature Series Subwoofer

Adding to their already extensive line of Signature Series loudspeakers, RBH introduces the 12-SE subwoofer. The compact 12-SE was designed to be more placement and room friendly, while maintaining the level of performance expected from RBH loudspeakers.The 12-SE combines a discrete 300-watt amplifier with a 12-inch proprietary metal cone woofer. The voice coil winding lengths for the 12-inch woofer were increased by 40 percent over standard voice coils to allow for the long excursions that occur during the reproduction of low bass. Combining that with the rigidity and power handling capabilities of the driver, the result is a subwoofer that is capable of reproducing powerful bass information well below 30Hz. The 12-inch aluminum driver is a front firing design that vents out of a specially engineered high performance downward firing port that eliminates ""chuffing"". The 12-SE also features a variable crossover (40-100Hz) and switchable phase to better acclimate the sub to your room.The cabinet of the 12-SE is solidly built using all MDF construction with internal bracing. The high quality craftsmanship of the 12-SE makes it extremely inert, and completely free of unwanted cabinet resonance. This method of construction along with the rigid aluminum driver allows the 12-SE to be driven to extreme levels, without giving way to distortion. The 12-SEs amplifier also features enough reserve capacitance to ensure that the subwoofer will never run out of power even during the most thunderous of explosions. The 12-SE is also a very musical subwoofer providing excellent pitch definition throughout the bass frequency spectrum.Quality craftsmanship also spilled over onto the outside of the 12-SE cabinet.
