All Mordaunt-Short Declaration Series Pure Hi-Fi loudspeakers are built to extremely high standards using top-quality parts and construction, including the company's exclusive DVPCô (Dual Value Parallel) audiophile-grade capacitors, high-power neodymium driver magnets, high-saturation inductors and premium internal wiring. All drivers are back-mounted to the baffle to minimize diffraction. The enclosures are built from MDF and feature dual-layer baffles, constructed from two layers of different density materials to attenuate unwanted resonances. In addition, Models DS-904, DS-906 and DS-908 can be filled with lead shot or sand for tighter, extended bass performance. All Pure Hi-Fi models feature heavy-duty bi-wirable speaker connectors that allow them to be bi-wired or bi-amplified with audiophile-grade speaker cables for maximum sonic performance.
