DISH Networkô Launches New HDTV Pay-Per-View Channel

EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH, DISHP) announced that starting Saturday, September 30, DISH Networkô will premiere the James Bond thriller, ""The World Is Not Enough,"" on DISH-On-Demand pay-per-view in high definition television for $5.99. DISH-On-Demand's HDTV channel, 9428, can be accessed by customers who have a satellite dish pointed at the 61.5 degrees West Longitude orbital location. Customers who use DISH Network's Model 6000 satellite television receiver (DISH HD) or a model 5000 satellite television receiver with an HD modulator can purchase movies for $5.99 each.HDTV technology provides customers with greater resolution and a more clearly defined, sharper image. With its widescreen 16:9 ratio format and DolbyÆ Digital sound, DISH-On-Demand's HD pay-per-view channel helps create a theatre-like presentation. Other movies premiering on DISH-On-Demand HD are ""Supernova"" on October 14 and ""The Ninth Gate"" on October 24. DISH Network also offers one channel of HBO and one channel of Showtime in HDTV.
