Widescreen Review's WebDVD Publications Joins CES DVD Project

The Entertainment Technology Network (ETN), a division of United Entertainment Media announced that Widescreen ReviewÆ magazine's WebDVD Publications division is contributing The Ultimate Widescreen DVD Movie Guideô to a brand new state-of-the-art multimedia DVD premiering at the International CES in January 2001. To make this groundbreaking technology a reality, ETN has partnered with InterActual, Laser Pacific, Steve Michelson Productions and Widescreen Review's WebDVD Publications to incorporate Internet technology, authoring expertise, video production skills and database content development. Using dynamic DVD technology that integrates continually evolving Web updates with the crystal-clear picture of DVD video, this official CES disc will incorporate video, audio and multimedia company information and product listings including a ""Virtual Trade Show"" booth for CES exhibitors to give attendees an advance and more in-depth look at featured products. Gary Reber, Widescreen Review and WebDVD Publications Editor-In-Chief and Publisher projected that ""this new approach to WebDVD publishing will ignite the path for exciting hybrid multimedia disc projects that interface with the constant-changing Internet to create new 'virtual' worlds for research, education and entertainment."" The ""Virtual Trade Show"" booth, accessible only with this disc, is a constantly updating Web site that can be updated during, and in advance of the show, and continually from then on, until March 30, 2001, guaranteeing that attendees will view the most current, up-to-date information regarding new products and product news. This high-impact disc also includes an interactive show directory database, product demos, commercial, movie trailers and corporate IDs, offering easy access to exhibitors' sites and products.
