Proton Introduces New Touchscreen Universal Smart Remote Control

Proton Corporation, a leader in the design and manufacture of high-end, high performance video and audio products, introduces the new SRC-2000 Touchscreen Smart Remote Control and optional docking station. The SRC-2000 can operate up to ten infrared devices. The Proton SRC-2000 also offers up to 12 fully configurable macro functions, each capable of holding up to 25 individual commands. The unit's 12 timer options make it possible to send commands, in sequence, automatically at the time and date the viewer sets.  For easy operation, the Proton SRC-2000 features an automatic backlit 128 x 64 resolution LCD screen with an adjustable light-level sensor that keeps the screen visible in low lighting. The remote's smart and fast learning design and easy to use touchscreen with fully customizable button sizes and labels mean that the remote does all the work.  For frequently used functions, such as volume, channel, play, mute and stop, the SRC-2000 features direct access rubber keypad buttons. A pop-up information screen provides the time, date and battery-life information. The optional SDS-2000 Docking Station adds even more to the function and handsome good looks of the Proton SRC-2000 Smart Remote. Not only does it make it almost impossible to misplace the remote when it is in the docking station, but it also makes sure the batteries are always charged. The SDS-2000 Docking Station offers a universal power adapter as well as a data link cable to facilitate connection of a PC for increased options.  The Proton SRC-2000 remote control measures (in inches) 2 3/4 wide, 8 1/4 high and 15/16 deep with a 2 3/4 by 1 5/8 screen and has an operating distance of 32.8 feet (10 meters). It weighs 7.4 ounces and has a suggested retail price of $170. The SDS-2000 Docking Station measures 5 wide, 2 high and 5 deep (inches) and weighs 9.2 ounces. The suggested retail price is $90.
