DISH Networkô Satellite Television Offers Two SHOWTIME Channels In DolbyÆ Digital Audio

EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH, DISHP) and Showtime Networks Inc. announced that select movies from two channels of SHOWTIME are now offering DolbyÆ Digital 5.1 audio for DISH Networkô satellite television customers. DISH Network customers with Dolby Digital 5.1-capable satellite TV receivers who also have a Dolby Digital decoder in their home theatre system and subscribe to SHOWTIME can recreate the same spectacular audio environment that they enjoy in movie theatres with SHOWTIME East (channel 318) and SHOWTIME West (channel 319). SHOWTIME offers numerous box office hits and original programming using Dolby Digital 5.1 signals. Featured attractions on SHOWTIME in Dolby Digital during December include ""The Story Of Us,"" ""Double Jeopardy,"" ""Being John Malkovich,"" ""Notting Hill,"" ""The Thomas Crown Affair"" and many others. January 2001 titles include such hits as ""Sleepy Hollow,"" ""The World Is Not Enough"" and ""The Limey."" Numerous SHOWTIME Originals are also available in Dolby Digital, including the series ""Beggars And Choosers,"" ""Stargate SG-1"" and ""Queer As Folk.""
