AIX Media Group Launches Record Label Division, AIX Records

AIX Media Group announced the launch of its new recording label division, AIX Records. AIX Records specializes in high resolution 96kHz/24-bit 5.1 surround sound recordings for DVD-Audio and DVD-Video. While many labels are taking a wait-and-see attitude when it comes to DVD-Audio, AIX is taking their extensive experience as a premier DVD production facility, and blazing a new trail.Their catalog includes a diverse selection of world-class musicians, representing musical styles ranging from blues to rock, bluegrass to folk, jazz to classical as well as world music. AIX Records has captured live performances by The Fabulous Thunderbirds, John McEuen & The String Wizards, The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, The Ives String Quartet with Delores Stevens, Paul Smith Jazz Trio, Patrice Rushen Trio, Luis Conte, Dorian Michael, Zephyr and Peppino D'Agostino. DVD titles will be available in the spring of 2001 and will formatted as ""Tribridô"" discs allowing for playback on DVD-Audio, DVD-Video or DVD-ROM devices.
