J.B. Stanton Communications, Inc. has been named by Audio Video Research, Inc. (AVR) as the public relations agency for Wadia, a division of AVR and a leading manufacturer of high-end digital audio products. Audio Video Research, launched December 1, 2000, was created as a result of a combination of the assets of Digital Imaging Corp. and Wadia Digital Corp. Wadia Digital ceased operations earlier in 2000 due to its inability to repay a note to a secured lender. Its reemergence as a division of AVR will permit Wadia to continue to design and manufacture the finest digital source components in the industry. Wadia's achievements have redefined the state of the art in musical playback. Wadia was the first company to apply fiber optics to home audio, to recognize jitter as a source of audible distortion, to perfect a digital volume control and the first company to introduce a high-end CD player competitive with expensive separates. Moving forward, Wadia will be based in a new world-class design and manufacturing facility operated by AVR in Ann Arbor, Michigan. ""Wadia has been a pioneer in applying advanced technology to improve the performance of digital home entertainment equipment,"" said agency President Bryan Stanton. ""Its continuing dedication to the pursuit of musical enlightenment will permit us to expand the in-depth coverage in audio, home theatre and custom installation that we offer to the media."" Wadia's newest products include the Wadia 861 and Wadia 831 CD players, the first two entries in a new line of compact disc players and the first to incorporate the company's patented Swift Currentô integrated circuit. Swift Current technology performs sonically critical current-to-voltage conversion with no negative feedback, resulting in demonstrably superior sound quality. Also new from Wadia is an upgraded edition of its highly regarded 27ix Decoding Computer featuring a powerful new software package for extracting the subtle musical details that enhance the emotional impact of recorded music. Specializing in consumer electronics clients since 1977, J. B. Stanton Communications is pleased to represent Wadia in the fast-growing fields of home audio, home theatre and custom installation.
