Creating new ways to captivate an audience, Sony Electronics Inc. is turning on the style with the introduction of the PFM42B1 SuperSlimô monitor. Setting the latest design trend in flat panel displays with flexible horizontal or vertical viewing, Sonyís newest 42-inch (viewable area, measured diagonally) model is available in brushed silver or charcoal gray. It is ideal for retail or exhibit spaces, executive conference rooms, corporate lobbies, television broadcast studios and state-of-the-art home theatre environments.Sony originally introduced flat panel displays in early 1997 and received overwhelming acceptance of the units as multi-source information monitors, presentation monitors and wall-mounted video displays. The monitor is equipped with an advanced scan converter that can intelligently reproduce a wide range of digital video signals (including SDTV and HDTV) and UXGA computer signals. The new unit is merely 3 1/4 inches thick and weighing 65.5 lbs.
