Luce introduces the worldís first high-definition 22-inch, 16:9 widescreen liquid crystal television at the Consumer Electronics Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall. Luceís model LCTV220A, offers super-high WXGA (1600 x 1200 pixel) resolution, an integrated 181-channel cable ready tuner, S-Video and composite video inputs as well as PC/Macintosh computer inputs. Luce, a product of In-Formation Display Technologies, Inc. (IDT) also introduces two plasma display technology models in 42 and 50-inch screen sizes, as well as their second generation of LCD flat-panel technology based TVs and monitors. Luce models range from 6.8 to 22-inch diagonal screen sizes, utilizing the latest high resolution LCD (liquid crystal display) technology.
