For consumers seeking the ultimate in one-stop home theatre shopping, AIWA offers the answer - a range of systems that package an audio system with a built-in DVD-Video player and speakers.AIWA is offering two DVD systems - a dramatically-styled, ""new-look"" hi-fi system with built-in DolbyÆ Digital and DTSÆ Digital Surroundô decoding, DVD-Video/CD changer and six speakers, including a powered subwoofer, and an ultra-compact desktop system with built-in Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, DVD-Video player and six speakers, including a powered subwoofer. For those who want a DVD system that adds a bit of glamour to a room, AIWA offers the new XS-DV335, with a main unit that conceals secondary controls behind a motorized panel. It comes with sleek silver-finished speakers, with matching stands for the main speakers, and a subwoofer. The system includes AIWAís exclusive D.I.N.A. (Dynamic Integrated Neo Amplifier) technology that delivers greater dynamic range, increased headroom, lower distortion and a wider soundstage. Power output is 60 watts per channel for the left and right channels, 20 watts each for the center, left surround and right surround channels and 50 watts for the powered subwoofer. The system also includes a three-disc DVD-Video/CD changer and an AM/FM digital synthesized tuner. Other features are three-position T-Bass, BBE sound enhancement, electronic graphic equalizer with three presets and a full-function remote control. The XS-DV335 will be available in July and carry an $820 suggested retail price.For smaller spaces, AIWA will offer the XR-DV860, another new look DVD theatre system with a low-profile, silver main unit about the size of a phone book, plus five compact speakers and a powered subwoofer. The main unit includes an amplifier that provides 30 watts for each of its five channels, a top-loading DVD-Video/CD player, built-in Dolby Digital and DTS decoder, AM/FM digital synthesized tuner, electronic graphic equalizer with three presets, BBE sound enhancement, three-position T-Bass and an optical digital output.
