AIWA Announces Three New A/V Receivers For Audio Components Line

Each Offers DolbyÆ Digital And DTSÆ Digital Surroundô Decoding And Exclusive New Amplifier Technology For Improved Sound Quality

A significantly upgraded A/V receiver line has been introduced by AIWA AMERICA, featuring exclusive new amplifier technology that delivers a dramatic improvement in sound quality. The AIWA line is comprised of three models that offer high power output, DolbyÆ Digital and DTSÆ Digital Surroundô decoding and the companyís new D.I.N.A. (Dynamic Integrated Neo Amplifier) technology that delivers greater dynamic range, increased headroom, lower distortion and a wider soundstage. The receivers are available separately and in home theatre-in-a-box systems that combine a receiver with a speaker/subwoofer package. AIWAís new flagship A/V receiver is the AV-D98, with a power output of 120 watts x 5, Dolby Digital and DTS decoding and D.I.N.A. technology. It offers a full complement of inputs and outputs, including three digital inputs (two optical, one coaxial), a 5.1-channel analog input to support the playback of DVD-Audio and Super Audio CD (SACD) discs, an optical digital output, subwoofer output, two S-Video inputs and three S-Video outputs, three A/V inputs and four A/V outputs, and one set of front A/V inputs. Other features include an AM/FM digital synthesized tuner, 30 preset DSP settings, a phono input, multi-brand remote control, a graphic equalizer with five factory presets and the option to save five user-selected settings, BBE sound enhancement, Super T-Bass, banana plug speaker terminals and two AC outlets - one switched, one unswitched. The AV-D98 will be available in May at a suggested retail price of $350. At 100 watts x 5, AIWA offers the AV-D78 with Dolby Digital and DTS decoding and D.I.N.A. technology. It also includes an AM/FM digital synthesized tuner, three digital inputs (two optical, one coaxial), a 5.1-channel analog input, phono input, subwoofer output, three A/V inputs and three A/V outputs, one set of front A/V inputs, remote control, DSP with 10 presets, graphic equalizer with five factory presets and five user presets, BBE sound enhancement, Super T-Bass, banana plug speaker terminals for the main speakers and two AC outlets - one switched and one unswitched. The AV-D78 will be available in May at a suggested retail price of $300. AIWAís most affordable A/V receiver is the AV-D58, with a power output of 80 watts X 5, Dolby Digital and DTS decoding and D.I.N.A. technology. It also offers an AM/FM digital synthesized tuner, two digital inputs (one optical, one coaxial), DSP with five presets, phono input, subwoofer output, three A/V inputs and three A/V outputs, one set of front A/V inputs, remote control, graphic equalizer with five factory presets and five user presets, BBE sound enhancement, Super T-Bass and one switched and one unswitched AC outlet.
