B & K Components, Ltd., introduces the new AVR 307 A/V receiver. The AVR 307 combines state-of-the-art digital processing, with seven channels of high-powered amplification, all in one chassis. The AVR 307 is the much-anticipated follow up to B & Kís highly acclaimed AVR 202 A/V receiver. The sophistication of the AVR 202 ushered in the era of ""high end"" receivers, and with the AVR 307 B & K once again sets the standard in receiver technology. The AVR 307 simply provides a level of sophistication and flexibility that is unparalleled. The AVR 307 features all of todayís processing technologies including; DolbyÆ Pro LogicÆ, Dolby Digital, DTSÆ Digital Surroundô, THXÆ, 6.1/7.1 surround and THX Surround EXô. While other receivers are only offering preamp outputs for the rear back channels necessary to achieve Surround EX playback, the AVR-307 houses a seven-channel amplifier that delivers 150 watts per channel. The seven-channel amplifier is a Class A design that uses high current MOSFET output stages that combine detailed musical reproduction with the brute force necessary for dynamic movie playback.Like B & K's standalone preamp/processor tuner, the Reference 30, the AVR 307 uses Motorolaís Digital DNA technology with their DSP56362 chip, and can be upgraded through software and hardware upgrades. ""Motorola is very pleased that B & K has selected our DSP56362 as their solution in the AVR 307,"" said Flip Lockhoof, Marketing Manager of the Audio Solutions Operation for Motorola's Semiconductor Products Sector. ""B & K consistently brings very high quality audio products to the marketplace, and we value our working relationship with them. We look forward to the successful launch of the AVR 307, as well as collaboration on future products."" The AVR 307 also features component video inputs, 96kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converters, DVD-Audio inputs and an IEEE 1394 input. For ease of use, the AVR 307 features B & Kís ""PLUG'n PLAY"" technology. ""PLUG'n PLAY"" takes the confusion out of a home theatre setup by selecting the appropriate format, and if programmed to do so, lower your video screen, turn on your amplifier and recall all of your personal settings automatically. Further combining form with function, the AVR 307 features a universal remote control that comes preprogrammed with control codes for over 1000 other devices. The remote allows you to control up to eight devices and each button can learn any code you assign to it.The MSRP on the AVR 307 is $3,498 and the AVR 305 (a five-channel version that has all the same features but offers five channels of amplification) is $2,998 - both are currently available for shipment. For more information about B & K Components, visit www.bkcomp.com.
