Aegis Debuts Universal Plug And Play Capabilities

Lauderdale, Florida, to provide Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) connectivity to its Aegis Home Management System. HSP showed Metro Linkís new Metro-EnableWorksô Residential Gateway providing this connectivity at the 2001 CES.The Aegis Home Management System (HMS) fully integrates the control of lighting, heating, telephone, security and other systems. The addition of the Aegis Audio/Video Management System (AVMS) later this year will add whole-house A/V control, intercom and infrared distribution to the capabilities of the Aegis HMS, thus providing the industryís most integrated solution. Aegis can control and monitor every system within the home via wall-mounted consoles and wireless touch screens.
