Cyrus Introduces New Icon Loudspeakers With NXT SurfaceSoundô Technology

Cyrus, one of the leading hi-fi manufacturers in the U.K. has announced the introduction of its new Icon series loudspeakers, which incorporate NXT's innovative SurfaceSoundô technology. This is the first loudspeaker manufactured by Cyrus using NXT flat panel technology in its design.Cyrus has developed an exceptionally high quality midrange/high frequency panel drive unit for its floor-standing Icon loudspeakers. Complementing the new panel is a seamlessly integrated bass reflex woofer enabling the loudspeaker system to achieve a ten-octave range. Under development for over two years, the Cyrus SurfaceSoundô driver is based on NXT technology and is just one of a number of new developments emerging from the company's research and development labs in the U.K.Icon improves on many sonic benefits found in the best high end electrostatic speakers, such as high speed, strong attack and transparency. The new Cyrus flat panel extends this by presenting a wide listening window and a unique open characteristic that will set new standards for loudspeakers.
