David P. Kelley Chosen To Lead Worldwide Sales Force For Klipsch

Charged With Maintaining Number One Position

Klipsch Audio Technologies announced that David P. Kelley has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. He is responsible for global distribution of Klipsch-branded loudspeakers in all business segments including specialty audio, professional cinema, systems integration and multimedia. He is also charged with maintaining Klipschís current position at the number one loudspeaker brand in the specialty audio market. Because Klipsch has aggressively grown its international distribution - especially in Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia and Latin America - Kelley is responsible for bringing Klipsch-branded products to consumers and professional markets around the globe. Paul Jacobs, COO of the Klipsch Worldwide Products Group, said Kelley was a key contributor in Klipschís rise to its current position as the number one loudspeaker brand in the U.S. specialty market, and number two in overall loudspeaker sales. ""I could say all kinds of flowery, feel-good things about Dave Kelley. Heís been with Klipsch long enough for there to be plenty of stories. But the best description of his strength is that Dave Kelley gets it done,"" said Jacobs. ""Set a goal and heíll meet it. Show him an obstacle and heíll overcome it. Heís the most consistent leader Iíve ever worked with. Jacobs continued, saying that Kelley has played a significant role in the development of the Klipsch sales and distribution strategy. ""His intense drive and determination have supported Klipsch through the difficult transition from being a longtime niche manufacturer to a becoming a major player in the mainstream specialty audio supply chain,"" Jacobs said. As part of his promotion and the strategic restructuring of the Klipsch worldwide sales force, Kelley assumes responsibility for the newly formed Klipsch Systems Integration Division, which was announced at CEDIA Expo 2000. The new division addresses the sale and distribution of Klipsch products geared toward both the professional sound and residential contracting industries. An 18-year industry veteran, Kelley has held a number of leadership positions during his eight years with Klipsch including Sales Representative, Key Account Manager, Regional Manager, Director of Sales, National Sales Manager, International Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales. A former sales associate, sales manager, store manger and regional manager for Highland Superstores, Kelley earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business from Indiana University, Bloomington.
