22-Feb-01

Once again JVC ""Excites Your Senses"" with the new TH-A9 DVD digital home theatre system. The TH-A9 thunders with powerful sound and delights the senses with beauty and simplicity in a compact size and classic, sleek design. The sleek futuristic design and uncluttered single-wire connections whisper elegance. But donít let the beauty and charm of this impressive performer lull you - 200 watts of power flowing through the six-channel amplifier are sure to keep your attention. The built-in DVD-Video with CD/CD-R/CD-RW/VCD playback capability and FM/AM tuner highlight its versatility. And DolbyĆ Digital/DTSĆ Digital Surroundô decoders ensure that the compact TH-A9 never falls short on performance. The robust 200-watt amplifier is built into the powered subwoofer and connects to the center unit with just one cable. Five full-range satellite speakers provide theatre-quality sound accurately throughout the listening field. The TH-A9 provides the functions of a room full of separate components without tangles of wires and confusing operation. Installation is a breeze with single wire connections and color-coded speaker cables. The compact TH-A9 main component has a DVD-Video/CD/CD-R/CD-RW/VCD player along with a AM/FM tuner. The DVD player incorporates a 10-bit/27MHz video D/A converter and a 24-bit/96kHz audio D/A converter to enhance picture quality and sound. The DVD player features multi-angle, resume, digest and strobe functions to allow the consumer a multitude of choices. A Digital Acoustics Processor (DAP) provides multiple DAP modes, including dance club/hall/pavilion settings. In order to achieve the best possible picture quality, the THA-9 comes equipped with composite, component and S-Video output. Controlling and monitoring system operation is easy with both on-screen display and on-unit fluorescent display. The full-function, multi-brand remote control easily operates the JVC TH-A9ís auto-power on and auto-speaker settings. The system also has AV CompuLink to allow seamless integration with JVC televisions. The TH-A9ís powered subwoofer, with auto-on, is a marvel of design efficiency. A large 8-inch (20cm) subwoofer powered by 100 watts delivers powerful bass. A phase reversal circuit provides the best listening position. The center unit and all other speakers are connected via single wires and one-touch mini-jack speaker terminals. The set-up allows the most visible component of the system - the center unit - to remain remarkably free of cable clutter. The five magnetically-shielded, full-range bass-reflex speakers include one center channel and four front/rear channels. The semi-oval-shaped cabinet and track-type drivers provide an expanded sound field. Wall-mounting brackets for the satellite speakers are included for a complete package. JVCís TH-A9 DVD Digital Theater System will be available in April 2001 for a Nationally Advertised Value of $1100.
