The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) will host the first of five CEDIA Boot Camp training sessions March 6-9, 2001 in Addison, Texas. The multi-day course will provide comprehensive training for new hires in the custom design/installation industry with the added opportunity to achieve CEDIA certification through the Installer Level I Exam. The CEDIA Boot Camp experience was launched in 1997 and consists of a variety of courses, including every imaginable aspect of custom installation. Participants should expect to gain powerful insight on everything from wiring basics to writing winning proposals. The multi-day course and skills-based training will include a combination of short lectures and hands-on workshops. Key concepts, definitions, techniques and procedures will be drilled repeatedly. Due to the hands-on nature of the material, each CEDIA Boot Camp session will be limited to 25 registrants. As a result, no refunds are available. Those interested in attending are encouraged to register online at www.cedia.org.""Because the needs of our industry exceed the pool of qualified workers, resourceful industry management are finding that CEDIA Boot Camp is the perfect means to ensure new hires are ready to enter this incredible industry,"" said Billilynne Keller, CEDIA's Executive Director. ""More and more employees are being hired for work ethics and personality and are then being trained in the field.
