Infinityís C.M.M.D. drivers are produced through a proprietary process of deep-anodizing ceramic material to both sides of an aluminum core. The diaphragms in these drivers combine the advantages of ultra-low mass and ultra-high rigidity for extraordinary clarity, transient response, detail, and resolution; they also reduce distortion.The subwoofer employs Infinityís Room Adaptive Bass Optimization System, which enables the user to precisely compensate for low frequency room resonances and optimize the bass to the individual characteristics of the room. The mounting bracket can be affixed anywhere along the satellitesí curved bottom mounting surface, an ingenious arrangement that allows the satellites to be positioned facing either straight ahead or at a downward-firing angle. This arrangement provides a far wider variety of placement options than conventional satellite loudspeakers, and enables them to be positioned for best sound coverage in any mounting location.The optional, adjustable TV bracket allows the left, center channel and right loudspeakers to be mounted directly to the bracket and placed atop any 30- to 55-inch TV, extending the left and right speakers beyond the TV screen for a wide, panoramic sound field, and enabling all three front speakers to be installed without having to mount them on a wall or floor stand.
