Zenith Electronics Corporation introduced a digital high definition television (HDTV) set-top box that receives both local terrestrial and satellite HDTV signals at the 2001 Consumer Electronics Show.Planned for spring availability, the $699 Zenith set-top box receives HDTV and standard definition television (SDTV) signals from terrestrial broadcasts, HDTV and SDTV signals from DIRECTVÆ, and NTSC analog broadcasts.The flexible satellite/terrestrial decoder also has switchable component outputs for 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i displays, and features 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio correction.
