Nearly doubling the number of products in its high end, Advanced Technology (AT) line of in-wall high fidelity loudspeakers, Niles Audio Corporation has introduced three models, all featuring two-way driver design and employing advanced driver materials. All new models, the AT8, AT6 and AT5, offer a newly-developed proprietary carbon glass fiber cone woofer design with hyperbolic dispersion stabilizer, as well as Niles' new three-layer soft-dome Teteron tweeter, mounted in an exclusive rotating, pivoting housing. Suggested retail prices for the new models range from $750 to $500 per pair and are now available.""These new additions augment the AT line and create a broad spectrum of high quality speakers in our flagship line,"" said Ivan Zuckerman, Niles President. ""The AT line, with a total of seven speakers, embodies many design breakthroughs that define Niles core loudspeaker technologies.""The AT8, with a suggested retail price of $749.95, incorporates an 8-inch carbon glass fiber woofer and 1-inch Teteron tweeter, its frame dimensions are 10 3/16 x 14 1/4 inches. The AT6 uses a 6.5-inch carbon glass fiber woofer and 1-inch Teteron tweeter and has frame dimensions of 8 3/4 x 11 11/16 inches. Its suggested retail price is $599.95. The AT5, employing a 5.25-inch carbon glass fiber woofer and 1-inch Teteron tweeter, has frame dimensions of 7 1/8 x 9 7/8 inches and a suggested retail price of $499.95. All models feature a high BL magnet structure with vented pole piece.Each of the new speaker models includes the companyís newly-developed precision tweeter adjustment mechanism, snap-in baffle installation, gold-plated, no-strip input terminals and is equipped with four-position bass and treble tone controls that are mounted on the front of the baffle to allow instant fine-tuning after the loudspeakers are installed. Other features include brass and stainless steel hardware, gold-plated connection terminals and a rustproof, aluminum MicroPerfô grilles.
