Steve Panosian, Samsung Electronic America Digital Groupís Senior Manager for Visual Media stated, ""Samsungís new DTV set-top box addresses those consumers who want to receive free over-the-air DTV and HDTV broadcasts. The T150ís unique feature is its ability to output all DTV native resolutions - 1080i, 720p and 480p - making it a simple solution for any digital television sold to date, or currently on offer that employ DTV component video inputs."" The SIR-T150 also outputs NTSC for those who wish to receive DTV signals and connect to high performance analog products via S-Video. Reflecting Samsungís ongoing leadership with DTV, Samsung worked with the CEDIA 2000 show to feed the live program to all exhibitors, underwriting the costs in distributing a DTV signal throughout CEDIA so that manufacturers could display live TV signals from local broadcasters. At the 2000 NAB show, Samsung spearheaded an interactive broadcast service consortium that showcased a datacasting demo. Samsung also has full participation in associations that support and drive the current 8VSB system such as the CEA and ATSC - further testament to Samsungís commitment to managing DTV solutions.
