Samsung Electronics America continues to set the pace in the exploding DVD market with four new high resolution DVD-Video players for the discriminating consumer. The DVD-M101, DVD-M201, DVD-M301, and DVD-C601 each offer a selection of features at compelling price points. The DVD-M101 features component video outputs, a 2.6-inch high faceplate slim design, and a full-size audio chassis measuring 17 inches wide. The DVD-M101 is now available for an MSRP of $179.99. The Samsung DVD-201 adds a dual-laser pickup to the equation. By using two separate lasers - one for DVD and the other for CD - a DVD player can enhance the playback quality of audio CD and also play CD-R. The DVD-201 is now available for an MSRP of $199.99. The DVD-M301 takes the dual-laser pickup feature one step further, allowing it to read DVD, CD, CD-R, and has an MP3 decoder so it can play MP3 files on a CD-R disc. This model also adds a joystick multi-remote and a jog/shuttle dial. The DVD-M301 has an MSRP of $229.99 and is now available. The DVD-C601 offers the convenience of a five-disc carousel changer at a very compelling price point. Featuring component output and due in April of 2001, the DVD-C601 is being offered for a MSRP of $249.99. For more information about Samsung Electronics America (SEA), visit www.samsung.com/USA.
