Verance And SANYO Sign Long-Term Licensing And OEM Agreements

Verance, the leading developer of audio watermarking applications for rights management, broadcast monitoring and wireless systems, and SANYO Electric Co. Ltd. announced that they have reached two long-term agreements. Under the terms of the first agreement, Sanyo has licensed the Verance watermarking technology for SDMI Phase 1 applications. The second is a three-year royalty bearing OEM agreement that provides SANYO with optimized Verance software for watermark detectors to be used in SANYO's SDMI-compliant products.
