SIM2 Multimedia Builds Its Grand Cinema Line With The Addition Of The HT200DM, The Third In The Award-Winning Series

1-Jun-01

SIM2 Multimedia, the parent company of SIM2 Seleco USA and the leading manufacturer of home theatre projectors, announcedits new DLPô technology-based model: the HT200DM (Dual Mode). The HT200DM is the latest addition to SIM2ís award-winning series of Grand Cinema home theatre projectors. The Grand Cinema is the first line of single-chip DLP projectors designed and manufactured by SIM2 specifically for home theatre. The HT200DM projector, based on the new 480P DLP component set by Texas Instruments, has been designed to match the 16:9 widescreen standard. The projector provides two different resolution modes selectable by remote control - 16:9 widescreen standard with a resolution of 848 x 480 pixels, and 4:3 format with a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. The 16:9 format delivers top quality, distortion-free images without artifacts resulting from digital downscaling. The 4:3 format is best for traditional 4:3 video sources. The HT200DM is equipped with a new six-segment color wheel that, by increasing the frequency of the colored images, eliminates color separation artifacts. The color wheel is built to SIM2 specifications, which call for a larger red segment and smaller green and blue segments. This new, state-of-the-art color wheel further improves the colorimetry of the image displayed. The HT200DM was unveiled for the first time at the 2001 Home Entertainment Show. It will be available in June 2001. For more information, visit www.sim2selecousa.com.
