CEA Applauds ABC And CBS Television Plans For Primetime HDTV Broadcasts

Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) President and CEO Gary Shapiro issued the following statement, coming the ""Öannouncement by ABC Television that it will offer a significant portion of its primetime programming this season in high-definition television (HDTV). This is a major step forward for the transition to digital television (DTV) as viewers will have even more great programs to watch in HDTV.
