Image Entertainment, Inc., a leading licensee and distributor of DVD programming in North America, today announced the September 4th launch of the ėMusic In High Placesî series on DVD and videocassette. Boyz II Men and Collective Soul are the first two bands to be showcased. Each DVD contains over one hour of bonus materials. ėMusic In High Places,î a Tall Pony Production, in association with TBA Entertainment and Innovative Media Productions, Inc. for Earth Escapes, L.L.C., has been called a ėNational Geographic for the VH1 and MTV generation.î These programs, a mix of music and travel adventure takes top recording artists to exotic locations around the globe. Each program chronicles the journey into rarely seen areas of the world to explore the history and culture of the indigenous people. The pilgrimages are recorded with state-of-the-art technology and include acoustic performances by the artists at each site. ėMusic In high Placesî has already gained vast consumer recognition through broadcast airings on DirecTV and MTV, a web presence at http://musicinhighplaces.msn.com and corporate sponsorships from MSN Internet Service, RCA electronics and RadioShack. Image will launch the series with Grammy Award winning Boyz II Menís visit to Korea and Platinum selling music artist, Collective Soul in Morocco. Upcoming ėMusic In High Placesî titles from Image include Brian McKnight in Brazil, Sugar Ray in Australia, BBMak in Vietnam, Mya in Sicily, Deftones in Hawaii, Alanis Morissette at the Navajo Nation, Wynonna in Italy and LeAnn Rimes in Mexico. Each DVD will feature Dolby Digital 5.1 sound and a variety of bonus materials ranging from behind-the-scenes featurettes and artist interviews to biographies and exclusive location footage.
