Audio industry leader B&W Loudspeakers has debuted two new additions to its range of architectural in-wall speakers. The CCM20 and CWM200 broaden the British firm's offerings in this rapidly-growing category, while maintaining its well-established standards of sonic accuracy and unwavering quality. The CCM20 is a round, ceiling-mount design ideal for casual spaces, hallways and smaller rooms. Designed for easy installation in ceiling, wall, or soffit, it combines a 6.5-inch, long-throw mid/bass driver with a coaxially located, 1-inch dome tweeter for smooth, extended sound, with genuinely useful bass (its low frequency limit is below 50 Hz) from the most compact possible package. The CCM20 requires a cutout of 8.1 inches diameter, and installation depth of just 2.9 inches. At only modestly greater cost, the new CWM200 employs a conventional two-way configuration for high-performance sound, also with impressive bass extension to below 50 Hz. It arrays a 6.5-inch mid/bass driver and 1-inch dome tweeter in a compact frame, requiring a cutout just 11.1 by 7.7 inches with installation depth of 2.9 inches. Both new B&W in-wall designs feature excellent sensitivity and impressive power handling, combined with stable, 8-ohm nominal impedances to ensure fine performance and impressive dynamic potential from a wide range of systems.Recommended amplification for both models is 20 to 130 watts, continuous on unclipped program signals. Both models are pre-finished in semi-matte white, suitable for pre-painting or other custom finishing. The CCM20 and CWM200 will be available immediately, at manufacturer's suggested retail prices of $200 and $300 per pair, respectively. For more information about B&W Loudspeakers, visit www.bwspeakers.com.
