One of the most popular and respected pop-rock bands of the 1980s, the Psychedelic Furs celebrated a much-anticipated reunion earlier this year and are now releasing Psychedelic Furs Live From House Of Blues, coming to DVD and VHS on October 16 from Pioneer Entertainment and House of Blues Entertainment. Originally formed in 1977, the Psychedelic Furs are led by frontman Richard Butler (vocals), his brother Tim Butler on bass, along with John Ashton and Richard Fortus both on guitar.In their native town of London, the Psychedelic Furs ?grew from post-punk rockers to leaders of the new wave movement? (Newsday) with songs such as ?The Ghost In You,? ?Love My Way? and ?Heartbreak Beat.? But after performing together for eight years, it was the 1986 hit title track song ?Pretty In Pink? from the John Hughes film that ultimately made the band famous in the United States.After recording seven successful albums, ?The Psychedelic Furs? (1980), ?Talk, Talk, Talk? (1981), ?Forever Now? (1982), ?Mirror moves? (1984), ?Midnight to Midnight? (1987), ?Book of Days? (1989) and ?The World Outside? (1991), the Psychedelic Furs decided to go their separate ways in 1992. After spending almost a decade apart as a band - yet always keeping in touch on a personal level - the Psychedelic Furs decided to give it another shot, to the delight of loyal fans everywhere. This year, the Psychedelic Furs will be touring in support of their upcoming live album entitled ?Beautiful Chaos? (Greatest Hits Live) to be released on Song Legacy on October 16th,simultaneously with The Psychedelic Furs Live From House of Blues on DVD and VHS. ?Beautiful Chaos? also features a new studio track entitled ?Alive? produced by Richard Fortus and mixed by Tim Palmer.
