Tannoy mX-M Series Offers New Look And Features Update

The Mercury mX series has been Tannoy's best selling product line in North America for the past two years, and has received critical acclaim from both the audio press and consumers. The new mX-M designation offers subtle but important updates that further accent the appeal of the line. As part of Tannoy's policy of continual product improvement, cosmetic changes are being made to the lineup, along with the addition of magnetic shielding for all models. The addition of magnetic shielding makes the product line fully compatible with all home theatre systems -- without changing the sound quality for which the original mX products became well-known.Cosmetic changes include the introduction of a light Cherry finish to complement the continuing Dark Oak alternative. The light Maple from the original mX products will be discontinued. In addition, the ceramic-coated bass/midrange drive units are now offered as a black finish, making a more refined and sophisticated overall product appearance.Model names will now have the addition of -M, with the line-up now consisting of the mX1-M, mX2-M, mX3-M, mX4-M, mXC-M, and mXR-M.Prices will remain unchanged from mX to m-XM at $270, $370, $530, $730 per pair for the mX-M1 through mX-M4 main speakers.
