Outlaw Announces Deliveries Of New 7 x 200-Watt And 5 x 200-Watt Home Theatre Power Amplifiers

9-May-02

Outlaw Audio, the leading direct-to-consumer Internet electronics brand, has announced that it is now shipping two new 200-watt-per-channel power amplifiers, the seven-channel Model 770 and the five-channel Model 755. The Model 770 is a seven-channel powerhouse designed for use with the latest 6.1 and 7.1 surround modes, in conjunction with processors such as Outlaw's own Model 950. The Model 755, a five-channel version of the same design, is an ideal power step-up for existing home theatre systems. Designed and built in the United States, these are high-end audiophile products. Both amplifiers use five pairs of high power output devices for each channel to deliver 200 watts into 8 ohms (20 Hz-20 kHz) at less than .05% THD, all channels driven. The use of dual toroidal transformers allow the Model 770 and Model 755 to fit in a cabinet size under 18 inches deep, including connectors. Individual amplifier modules keep crosstalk levels below -90 dB, while aluminum heat sinks allow the amplifiers to operate at rated power without the need for noisy cooling fans. Low voltage trigger inputs are provided for seamless operation with compatible products such as Outlaw's Model 950 preamp/surround processor and Model 1050 6.1-channel receiver. A three-second delay at turn-on prevents transient noise when the units are powered up. The Outlaw Model 770 and Model 755 power amplifiers are available for immediate shipment solely through the Outlaw's Hideout at www.outlawaudio.com. Introductory pricing is set at $1,799 for the Model 770 and $1,299 for the Model 755, with special ""Outlaw Family"" pricing available for owners of other Outlaw products, or when the amplifiers are purchased in a combination package with a Model 950 or a Model 1050.
