D-Theater Title To Be Released Day-And-Date With DVD

WSR has received word from a reliable studio source that one of the four studios supporting the D-VHS D-Theater format will be announcing the FIRST day-and-date release of a new title with the release of its DVD counterpart. The source would not reveal what the new theatrical release was, but stay tuned for the official annoncement on this Web page. Editor-In-Chief Gary Reber has advocated for ""Day-And-Date"" (see WSR Issue 62, July), and this news, regardless of title, is certain to be welcomed by enthusiasts who hope that the studios might increase the number of day-and-date titles in the future--realizing that releasing D-Theater day-and-date with DVD will NEED to be done if the studios wish for the D-Theater prerecorded HD format to succeed.
