TAW Introduces The Evolution LCoS Projector

TAW introduces the Evolution projector, based on LCoS technology. This 1365 by 1024 (SXGA) resolution projector incorporates an internal anamorphic lens, allowing the three 4:3 aspect ratio LCoS panels to be used on 16:9 aspect ratio screens. The unit has a special DVI input, designed to work with TAW's ROCK video processor, capable of transmitting in lengths up to 100 feet. The projector uses no external plastics and high quality aluminum construction.Every projector is tested and calibrated at the factory for a linear 6500 K colorimetry from 10 to 100IRE. Brightness is rated at 1100 ANSI lumens. Noise emission is claimed to be 28 dB at 1 meter. The projector is upgradeable to higher resolutions as technology advances.The Evolution will be debuted at the 2002 CEDIA EXPO in Minneapolis in September 2002. The MSRP is to be announced.
