Hi-Res Music Presents Leon Russell And Freddie King In DVD-Audio

Hi-Res Music is pleased to announce the release of Leon Russell's self-titled debut in a high-resolution two-channel 96kHz/24-bit DVD Audio format. This DVD-A contains three bonus tracks not available until now. The three extra tracks include an instrumental blues jam entitled ""Jammin' with Eric,"" an alternate mix of ""Humming Bird"" and a demo solo version of ""Shoot Out on the Plantation."" The musicians on this recording include George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman, and it was completely remastered to 96kHz/24 bit from the original analog master. Also available this month, Freddie King's Texas Cannonball, one of this blues master's finest releases. While doing research on Texas Cannonball, we discovered seven extra tracks from the original session and are very excited to announce the addition of these tracks on our version. Texas Cannonball finds Freddie King at his best, covering tunes by Jimmy Rogers, Howlin' Wolf, Elmore James, Isaac Hayes and John Fogerty.Remastered to 96kHz/24 bit from the original analog master. Since our introduction at CES in January, Hi-Res Music has successfully released 12 high-resolution 96kHz/24-bit two-channel DVD Audio discs, including such classics as Seven Come Eleven, featuring Herb Ellis, Joe Pass, Ray Brown and Jake Hanna, Trio, with Monty Alexander, Ray Brown and Herb Ellis, and Brazilian Soul, featuring the great Brazilian-styled guitarists Laurindo Almeida and Charlie Byrd. ÜWeíve also released Jazz at Concord, with Herb Ellis, Joe Pass, Ray Brown and Jake Hanna (Concord's very first release), and Rhythm Willie, with Freddie Green and Herb Ellis. Hi-Res Music also made available Mofro's acclaimed Blackwater Üand Robert Walterís Money Shot, both courtesy of Fog City Records. ÜWe also offer discs from Ben Allison, Larry Goldings Trio and Wayne Horvitz to reflect a more modern jazz sound.
