Integra Introduces Entry Level High-End DVD Players

4-Oct-02

Integra has introduced its DPS-5.3 single-disc DVD player and DPC-5.3 five disc DVD changer. Each has progressive scan component video output and audiophile-grade DACs. The 5.3 series' video processing circuitry features 27 MHz/10-bit video DACs and progressive scan component output. Rear panel composite and S-video outputs round out the players' video connectivity options. Audio processing uses 192 kHz/24-bit DACs, and Integra's Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry (VLSC) is used in the analog output stage. Integra's Direct Digital Path provides a direct signal path to the coaxial digital output using a heavy gauge, shielded coaxial cable, instead of PC board traces which are more commonly used. The 5.3 series DVD players can handle CDs, CD-R/RWs, VCDs, and MP3-encoded CDs. Rear IR inputs and outputs, and bidirectional RS-232 ports are included. The DPS-5.3 DVD player and DPC-5.3 five-disc DVD changer are currently available at retail prices of $400 and $500, respectively.
