Sanibel Debuts First Piega Sub Priced Under $1,000

Sanibel Sound debuted the new Piega subwoofer, the P Sub 4, at CEDIA EXPO 2002.The P Sub 4, priced at $995, is Piega's first subwoofer in the sub-$1,000 category. It incorporates a 250-watt amplifier, 8-1/2-inch driver, reaches down to 26 Hz, and is styled to match Piega's S4 series of full-range tower loudspeaker systems. ""It is exciting to be able to bring Piega's quality, craftsmanship, and style to a whole new market segment,"" said Steve Davis, Sanibel's President.In addition to its frequency range of 26 to 150 Hz, the P Sub 4 has an adjustable output control. The upper end of its frequency range can be adjusted so that the crossover matches the other loudspeakers in the system. The new Piega sub measures 15 (H) x 11 (W) x 15 (D) inches and weighs 31 pounds. The cabinet is polished aluminum and comes with a choice of an aluminum or black front grille.Piega speakers are imported and distributed by Sanibel Sound.
