The National Hockey League and HDNet announced the initial slate of NHL in HD broadcasts as part of a the 65-game high-definition television (HDTV) 2002-03 schedule. The NHL in HD coverage on HDNet begins Sunday, October 27 at 9pm (Eastern Time), with the Colorado Avalanche hosting the Minnesota Wild.""Fans who watched last year's NHL games on HDNet have confirmed that HDTV captures all the excitement of NHL action,"" said Jon Litner, NHL Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.""We are excited to renew our agreement with the NHL,"" said Mark Cuban, co-founder and President of HDNet.
