Yamaha has unveiled two new DVD players--the DVD-S2300 and the DVD-S530 single-disc players. Yamaha's new flagship DVD-S2300 provides DVD-Audio and SACD playback capability, 192 kHz/24-bit audio DACs for all channels, comprehensive bass management, 54 MHz/12-bit video DACs, and custom installation flexibility. The DVD-S2300 also features progressive scan with DCDiô processing by Faroudja.The DVD-S2300 single-disc DVD player is compatible with SACD, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, CD, MP3, CD-R, VCD (Video CD), and SVCD (Super Video CD). The DVD-S2300 provides an Advanced Surround mode to take advantage of effects channels on DVD-Audio, as well as a Video Off mode.Performance and custom-installation features of the DVD-S2300 include: a 4:4:4 progressive component video circuit; an S-Video output and two composite outputs; Toslink and coaxial digital audio outputs; I/O ports for remote control; and an RS-232 port and extended I/R commands for advanced custom installation. DVD-S530The Yamaha DVD-S530, an attractively-priced, single-disc DVD player with advanced digital technology, versatile features and convenient operation.The player accommodates DVD, DVD+RW/+R, CD, VCD, SVCD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3, and features NTSC/PAL format conversion. The DVD-S530 uses a dual-laser optical pickup system, 10-bit video DACs, and 96 kHz/24-bit audio DACs. Yamaha's new Chroma Upsampling Error Correction is also included.Other audio features include Toslink and coaxial digital outputs, and TruSurround 3Dô sound for analog output. There are two composite video outputs, a component video output, and an S-video output.
