Phase Technology Offers Silhouette On-Wall/Off-Wall Speaker System

The PC-6.1 Silhouette full-range loudspeaker is the first user-switchable on-wall/off-wall home theatre speaker from Phase Technology. The speaker is designed with a low profile at 5-3/8 inches deep. It also features an included pivoting wall-mount bracket. The new PC-6.1/S ($425 each suggested retail) from the company's upscale Premier Collection has a user-selectable switch to adjust for the loading presented by on-wall installation. The PC-6.1/S can also be located off-wall, on a bookshelf or on speaker stands. It is front-ported for adaptability in these various installation options.The speaker features a 6-1/2-inch RPF KevlarÆ-laminated, solid flat piston driver with butyl rubber surround in a cast aluminum alloy basket. It also has a 1-inch user-adjustable, variable axis soft dome tweeter with UnicellÆ acoustic treatment. The speaker to has a rated frequency response of 80-22,000 Hz (+/-3 dB) at 91 dB sensitivity. It is designed to be complemented by the company's new 300-watt PC Subwoofer.The new Model PC-6.1/S reflects the stylized new design profile of the company's Premier Collection. It is offered in Natural Cherry, Honey Oak, and Black Ash furniture-grade wood veneers, and Textured White. It sports a geometric grille tapered at the top and bottom, with a slight flare in the middle, in black or white fabric.Like every Phase Technology speaker, the new Model PC-6.1/S features Absolute Phaseô crossovers, an exclusive technology that is said to enable a range of speaker placement and listening positions.This crossover technology is claimed to enable the placing of any Phase Technology speaker vertically or horizontally, and mixing of different Phase Technology models.
