Oscar Winner Herbie Hancock Joins Surround 2002

Master Class Program and Speakers Also Announced

Surround 2002: The 4th Annual Surround Conference & Showcase has announced the topics and speakers for its Master Class Seminar Series at the 2002 show. Also announced is the ""Herbie Hancock Workshop"" a special bonus session to the main program, which features Academy Award-winning composer Herbie Hancock providing hands-on training about the making of his latest surround sound DVD release. Surround 2002 will be held December 13-14 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. The Master Classes are available only to full, paid conference attendees. The special Master Class sessions will present an all-star collection of speakers covering a range of A-list projects in surround sound ranging from ""A Surround Sound Primer"" to a look at 5.1 mixing for The Beach Boys, Phil Collins, Alanis Morrisette, Queen, and Frank Zappa (presented by his son Dweezil). Presented by United Entertainment Media (UEM), a CMP Information Company, the annual Surround Conference has become a premier, international networking opportunity for engineers and producers on the leading edge of the surround sound revolution. Professionals attend Surround 2002 to share ideas and techniques, and to immerse themselves in the latest technologies presented by showcase exhibitors.
