3-Feb-03

NAD, the highly regarded manufacturer of high-performance audio components, further expands their DVD lineup with its entry-level T 512 DVD/CD player. The audio performance is up to NAD's high standards, and the T 512 makes for an exceptional CD player in addition to providing state-of-the-art video performance. With full support for the all the new CD and DVD formats (DVD-Video, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3) the T 512 is right up-to-date. MP3 files can be played back on this versatile player, with one CD-R capable of up to ten hours of continuous music playback. MP3 decoding is reproduced using the same DACs and associated circuitry for CD playback. The sound quality is far and above what one would expect from an MP3 sound file. The T 512 supports DTSÆ, DolbyÆ Digital, and Dolby Pro LogicÆ playback. Keeping signal paths short and direct to minimize any interference, the 54 MHz/10-bit video DAC is capable of reproducing images with vivid colors that are extremely faithful to the original. The T 512 is a very full-featured DVD player that offers three video connection options (composite, S-video, and component) and three audio connection options (analog RCA, digital coaxial, and digital optical), ensuring complete compatibility with both your current and future home theatre setup. The T 512 offers a wide range of features such as Multi-Angle, Multi-Sound, Multi-Subtitle, Frame, Zoom, and Repeat. The Frame Advance feature advances the picture one frame at a time, and the six-step Zoom function highlights and enlarges a particular area of the frame. All features are easily accessed with the supplied remote control. The NAD T 512 DVD player will sell for a suggested retail price of $399 and is currently shipping.
