ELAC Introduces CL 310i Speaker

ELAC has introduced the CL 310i JET, derived from ELAC's 305. The CL 310i JET features the ELAC TT 115 woofer with DAS surround. To avoid sound distortion through partial oscillation, the woofer is fitted with an aluminum sandwich membrane. Using a special gluing technique, aluminum and pulp fiber are joined together, forming a membrane with high inner damping. ELAC is one of the few loudspeaker manufacturers who develop and produce their driver components in-house.The ELAC JET ribbon tweeter reproduces the high frequency range up to 30 kHz. As a result of its folded foil membrane, the JET tweeter has more than ten times the membrane surface, for example, of a 25mm dome tweeter. Neodymium magnets drive the JET tweeter.The CL 310i JET is equipped with bi-wiring/bi-amping terminals and corresponding separate networks mounted directly behind the connection terminals. The cabinet is made of 6.5mm extruded aluminum with central crosspiece reinforcement.
