27-Feb-03

Trian Electronics, Inc., U.S. Distributor of Thule Audio products, has introduced the PR350B surround processor/preamplifier. The PR350B features 192 kHz/24-bit DAC via a new Texas Instruments (formerly Burr-Brown) chipset for all ten outputs. Additionally the PR350B features a ""Pure Audio"" balanced input source which bypasses digital processing for both two-channel and multichannel listening. ""It's the best-sounding surround processor on the market today!"" said Trian Electronics Vice President Brian Anderson. The PR350B is in full compliance with all of today's relevant surround formats, including DTS-ESÆ, DTS 96/24, and Dolby Pro LogicÆ II (with 96 kHz A/D conversion). The DSP used is the Motorola 56367. Other features of the PR350 include a high-bandwidth 80 MHz video path, with S-video and composite video interfaces, and an optional component video switching board with built-in scaling. Also included are second-zone management, RS-232 networking compatibility, and a comprehensive remote control. The suggested retail price is $4,195.
