Samsung Electronics Launches 100-Hour DirecTV DVR

Samsung Electronics America announced its entry into the digital video recorder (DVR; also known as personal video recorder or PVR) category with its first DirecTVÆ DVR with TiVoÆ recorder, the SIR-S4120R, capable of storing up to 100 hours of programming.The 120 GB hard drive in the Samsung SIR-S4120R DirecTV DVR boasts 50 percent more storage capacity than most DVRs currently available on the market. The hard drive is able to store up to 100 hours of DirecTV programming with TiVo Service at an affordable price.
