Also offered are Zone 2 audio output (speakers) with IR port and extended IR codes and pre-outs for all channels. The RX-V740 also features Cinema DSP, Silent Cinema for 5.1-channel listening using a pair of headphones, six-channel analog inputs, and 96 kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converters. The RX-V640 offers 85 watts x 6 and is priced at $499. This new model has all of the features of the RX-V740 except for the on-screen display, LCD remote control, phono input connection, and aluminum front panel. The RX-V540, priced at $399, replaces the RX-V530 and is rated at 80 watts x 6 channels. This receiver also features the YSS-938 DSP, video conversion from composite to S-video, six-channel analog inputs, and a front-panel A/V input. The most affordable receiver in the new series is the RX-V440, which replaces the RX-V420 and is priced at $299. This unit has all of the features of the RX-V530, but only has one optical and one coaxial digital input terminal, one optical digital output terminal, and is without video conversion and S-video connections. All of these receivers are currently shipping. For more information about Yamaha Electronics Corporation, visit www.yamaha.com/yec.
